Hidden Creek Landscaping Inc. was founded in 1998 by Matt Seiler and Jason Cromley. While taking classes together in Landscape Architecture at The Ohio State University, a mutual respect for hard work and creativity was discovered. With a shared vision on how projects should be installed and people should be treated, a business relationship was formed based on solid morals and friendship.

Due to our consistent dedication and innovative ideas in all aspects of landscaping, our company has been able to demonstrate impressive growth while maintaining personal relationships with our business contacts. Our goal is to be recognized amongst our peers and clients as the finest landscape design company in Central Ohio. Jason Cromley


Since co-founding Hidden Creek Landscaping in 1998, Jason has continually looked to the future with his goal of growing and expanding the business. He believes this comes directly from two critical drivers: the employees and the clients. Jason has been able to apply his positive attitude towards life and use that same mentality in exceeding the expectations of his ever-growing client base. He is more than confident that Hidden Creek Landscaping is on track to fulfill their mission statement of creating a higher quality of life for both our clients and our team.

With his formal education in construction, landscape design, and horticulture, Jason has been able to identify the essential components and the most effective methods required to create new and exciting outdoor enhancements, whether out of necessity or desire.

Matt Seiler


Since co-founding Hidden Creek Landscaping in 1998, Matt has employed the philosophy that while landscaping happens to be our expertise, Client's are our business. With this philosophy, he has been able to create a team environment where we value our employees and clientele alike. By understanding the client's business and listening to their wants and needs, Matt has succeeded in creating individual maintenance programs that continually exceed our client's desires. Matt became a true student of nature and developed his strong work ethic early in life while growing up on a non-traditional farm in rural Ohio. Since then he strives every day to marry the natural and built landscape by implementing his personal and professional experiences along with his formal education.

Tom Rieder, CLT

Senior Account Manager

Tom was hired in 2010 to manage the Maintenance Division as well as direct operations for snow removal. He is a skilled professional and industry expert, who brings over eighteen years of experience in the landscape management industry. With a broad background in Commercial, Public and Estate care he has been able to develop strong customer relations to ensure customer satisfaction. Tom’s extensive leadership experience in building and maintaining client accounts has earned him a reputation for exceeding the expectations of all clients that he serves.

Elena Andrews


Elena joined the Hidden Creek design team in the spring of 2015. After a successful 15-year career in the architectural field primarily in Los Angeles, California with a specialty in designing master plans for colleges and universities, Elena decided to change paths and pursue her passion for landscape design. Building upon her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia and her Masters in Architecture from Princeton University, Elena then went on to obtain her associate’s degree in Landscape Design and Management at Columbus State Community College. Her goal is to leverage her architectural experience and ability in order to understand each client’s vision and to create memorable outdoor spaces that seamlessly integrate into the existing environment. As a native to Columbus, Ohio, Elena is happy to be back home where she and her daughter can be closer to family. And see snow.

Rob Booher

Commercial Sales Design/Build

Rob became an intern with Hidden Creek Landscaping Inc. in the summer of 2008 while attending The Ohio State University and majoring in Landscape Horticulture. Upon graduation, he became a full time employee and has since flourished while expanding his industry knowledge and skills. He recently earned the title of Enhancement Operations Manager where he works tirelessly with the sales team and enhancement crews to stay within budget and deliver an exceptional product to our clients. Rob also plays a pivotal role in developing standards and training employees for Hidden Creek. He values a strong work ethic, a get it done right the first time mentality and thrives on the daily challenges of a constantly moving industry to better grow and serve our clients and team.

Bryan Taynor

Account Manager

Bryan joined Hidden Creek in 2014 and brought his extensive background in the green industry to the team. Bryan has successfully managed landscape and snow operations for property managers and clients across the country. He believes our work building and nurturing relationships with clients is just as important as our work building and nurturing beautiful landscapes.
Bryan has a passion for the industry that is contagious, and is active within industry organizations to continue learning and growing as a professional.

Ron Malloy

Irrigation Manager

Ron has 16 years’ experience in the green industry, and he has worked on and/or managed jobs from residential, to large scale commercial, and government projects of all natures. For the past nine years, his primary focus has been related to irrigation systems, working directly and indirectly with HCL for several of those. He is extremely professional and detail oriented with all of his project ventures and client relations. Ron thrives on using Water Smart Technology and High Efficiency Irrigation systems to provide the highest quality product to the customer.

Paula Russell

Contract Administrator Design/Build

Paula joined the Hidden Creek administrative staff in June of 2010. After working in various areas of the landscape industry throughout her 21 years of experience, she has put her extensive training and customer service skills to work in the administrative area of the landscaping business. Having started her career as a field employee and working in the various roles throughout the industry, her main focus has been to provide the customer with the best service experience possible. Along with extensive and ongoing training and education, Paula received an Associate’s Degree in Parks and Recreation from Muskingum Area Technical College.

Seth Anthony

Maintenance Operations Manager

Seth feels his purpose is to apply his experience, education, and skills to foster success in achieving client goals, improving employee base, and growing the Hidden Creek book of business. For over ten years Seth has been employed in the landscaping industry and has gained valuable experience that is well suited for design, construction, and coordinating landscape/garden projects. Having worked in Australia and the United States has given Seth a strong understanding of plants and innovation in this vastly expanding industry. Seth believes the best is yet to come!

Gail Reinhart

Human Resources - Recruitment

Gail joined the Hidden Creek Team in 2014, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in Horticulture, Sales, Project, and Operations Management, and Employee Development. She has an Associate’s Degree in Landscape and Turfgrass Management from Owens Community College and has spent time working out of state in Michigan and Delaware gaining knowledge of Golf Course and Retail Garden Center operations, and Residential and Commercial Landscape Management. Gail grew up on a 500-acre farm in Northwest Ohio which cultivated her love of the outdoors. Gail is the youngest of 13 children.

Amanda Buss

Contract Administrator Maintenance

Amanda joined the Hidden Creek administrative staff in September of 2016. With over 15 years of experience in administrative support, her focus had been in production, entertainment and non-profit industries, with an emphasis on project management and customer service. Always eager to continue her education, Amanda has begun a new career chapter and entered the landscaping industry. A native of Southern California, Amanda relocated to mid-Ohio in summer of 2016. Together with her husband, their two daughters and two cats, they have fully embraced life in Ohio and regularly brag to their friends back home about how amazing CBUS truly is!

Amit Pandya


Amit joined Hidden Creek in the winter of 2016 as a landscape designer, focusing on multiple residential and commercial hardscape and landscape projects from concept through production. Amit’s passion of Landscape Architecture started when he was a greens crew member at Brookside Country Club Golf Course in Columbus Ohio. Amit’s love of golf and working at the course made him ask the question, “Who makes golf courses?” and found his answer at The Ohio State University in their Landscape Architecture program. After graduating, Amit moved to Florida where he worked on numerous gated community developments and resort designs/master planning. Though he loved the game of golf, he found his niche in the highly detailed world of residential design/build and brings his dedication to detail in every design.

Ashley Betteker


Ashley joined the Hidden Creek design team in the fall of 2016. Her interest in landscape design came while studying architecture at Kent State University, where she discovered the integral role landscaping plays within architectural design. Wanting to learn more about the field, she pursued her masters in landscape architecture from The Ohio State University. After graduating, Ashley moved to Chicago to practice on high end residential landscapes in the North Shore of Chicago. There, she focused on formal design that maximized functionality while fitting in with the aesthetic of the area. While Ashley enjoyed practicing in the Chicago area, she is excited to be back with family in Columbus, Ohio.

Ben McKnight

Residential Sales Design/Build

Ben joined the Hidden Creek Team in 2016, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the landscape industry. Ben has a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Horticulture from The Ohio State University. Through his career, Ben has been able to experience all facets of the industry, but his main focus has been in production, operations and sales. Ben enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He especially loves attending sporting events with his wife and two boys, taking camping trips, and enjoying their cabin in Virginia.

Cameron Ely

Residential Sales Design/Build

Cameron came on board with Hidden Creek in the summer of 2016. Originally from Toledo, OH, Cameron moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Landscape Architecture. After graduation, he relocated to Athens, OH for an internship with a property management company designing landscapes and developing his graphics skills. Cameron then moved back to Columbus to begin working as a field crew worker for a well-known design/build landscape company to expand his plant and construction knowledge. He was promoted to the foreman position to lead his own crew, then promoted to design/sales, where he managed crews and provided excellent customer service to his clients. Cameron joined Hidden Creek’s Design Build division in the sales role to help deliver exceptional customer service, all while growing an exceptional beard.

Doug Fortkamp

Field Service Manager

Doug joined the Hidden Creek team in the summer of 2015, capitalizing on 10 plus years of experience in the landscape industry. Doug’s first career was in the restaurant industry, working his way into chef positions, but after 12 years, he decided to change gears and revisit his first career aspiration, which was Landscape Architecture. He attended The Ohio State University, but decided to jump directly into the green industry whole heartedly, taking a position at a local landscape company. Doug has managed a wide variety of projects, from small scale residential mulching to large scale public works. Having an eye for detail and ability to effectively communicate are two of his greatest assets. In his downtime, he enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.

Melody Evans

Office Administrator

Melody joined Hidden Creek Landscaping in the spring of 2016. She brings three years of office administration and financial experience to the company. She grew up in a small town in Northern Ohio, where she helped her family raise horses and steers. After high school, she became an office assistant for Knowlton Machine in Ashland and was quickly promoted to office manager. Upon moving to Columbus, she began working for Huntington National Bank as a teller, but was rapidly promoted to a personal banker, as well as customer advocacy leader. She attended North Central State College and is pursuing her psychology degree through Capella University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Tim Reeves

Project Manager

Tim joined Hidden Creek in fall of 2016 in the Design Build Division, adding more than 30 years experience to the company. Tim began his career at the age of 15, when he joined a landscape company on a mow crew and was promptly promoted to foreman. In fact, the company had to hire a crew member that could drive until Tim obtained his license. He studied landscape construction at Northeast Career Center in high school and attended Ohio State ATI in Wooster, OH, focusing on landscape and horticulture selected studies. Tim then took his talents to Texas, working on large commercial landscape install projects in multiple states. He decided to return to Ohio, where he continued to develop his skills at local and national landscape and irrigation firms before joining the Hidden Creek team. In his downtime, Tim loves to work in his yard, watch the Buckeyes, and take on carpentry projects.

Chris Stacy

Field Service Manager

Chris joined Hidden Creek in May of 2016 bringing with him over 19 years of landscape and supervisory experience. Chris is originally from Western Massachusetts and started studying landscaping at

Franklin County Technical School and then earned a Degree in Landscape Contracting from Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMASS Amherst.

Chris moved to Ohio to further his career and start a family in 2014 and began at Hidden Creek as an Enhancement Foreman in the Maintenance division. He was quickly promoted to Field Service Manager to help train team members and deliver professionalism, knowledge, and client expectations while continuing to learn and advance his career in the Landscape Industry.

Jessica Lovell

Business Developer Maintenance

Jessica joined Hidden Creek in May of 2017 adding her talent and experience in Sales, Property and Account Management, and Marketing to the Hidden Creek team. With her communication skills and outgoing personality, Jessica’s goal each day is to continue to attract new clients, offer innovative problem-solving solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service. Jessica grew up in the State of Washington, racing Motocross and working construction during the summers. She relocated to Ohio with her husband and children and when not working they enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, and mastering meals in the kitchen.

Larry Reasinger

Design/Build Operations Manager

Larry joined Hidden Creek in January of 2017 in the Design Build Division and brings over 30 years’ experience in estimating and project management to the company. Larry studied landscape construction at Northeast Career Center in high school and attended The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, OH majoring in landscape construction. He also worked and studied landscape horticulture in Australia for two years. After returning from overseas he worked for local and national landscape companies before joining the Hidden Creek team. Larry enjoys spending time with his family, watching his son in sports and being involved with his sons’ Boy Scout troop.

Scott Manor

Irrigation Services Manager

Scott joined the Hidden Creek team in February of 2013. His landscape career started with a small mowing business with his brothers during high school. He received his bachelors of Biological Sciences from The University of Alaska Fairbanks, with a focus on veterinary medicine. While applying for the veterinary program, he took a summer job at a golf course and decided to follow that career instead. This lead to a 10 year career in golf course maintenance, working his way to course superintendent. This brought him from northern Michigan to central Ohio in the mid-2000s. In 2008, Scott left the golf course industry and started in the residential and commercial landscape field. Seeing the need, he used his knowledge from the golf courses to become an irrigation specialist. Scott plans to use his expertise and position as Irrigation Services Manager to train new technicians as well as provide exceptional service to our clients.
