The Maintenance Field Technician shares Hidden Creek’s vision of providing exceptional customer service to all of its many clients. This position is responsible for assisting the Foreman and your fellow crew members with all aspects of daily work. You will help to insure the client’s expectations for site quality and services are being met or exceeded.

The Field Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labor) in order to assist with the completion of maintenance services. You will also be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks.

Roles and responsibilities in this position are:

  • Communicate with your Foreman to plan out the day.
  • Assist your Foreman in the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectives.

Description:

The Design/Build Sales Manager will oversee Hidden Creek’s sales programs and initiatives for the Design/Build Division. They will be responsible for managing the Design/Build Sales team while reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Roles and Tasks:

  • Lead, manage, and hold the Design/Build sales team accountable to all measurables and goals, while holding yourself accountable to the same standards
  • Manages Design/Build sales related budgets and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Evaluates sales performance of sales team and strategically modifies plan and personnel as needed
  • Responsible for leading weekly team sales meeting, as well as, individual sales team touch bases
  • Assists in creating functional strategies and specific objectives for meeting sales goals
  • Assists in developing long-term sales goals for the Design/Build Division
  • Report and communicate sales updates and key metrics to the Director of Sales and Marketing weekly
  • Helps to meet marketing and sales financial objectives by helping to forecast requirements, prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures, and analyze variances
  • Responsible for providing internal and external training for Design/Build sales team as needed
  • Help develop ROCKS for all direct reports

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years managerial experience
  • 7-10 years of sales and marketing experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software

The Accounting Administrator is a crucial part to the success and growth of Hidden Creek Landscaping. This position will support Accounting with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable while also fielding communications with clients and vendors, fact checking, filing, and other duties, as needed. The ideal candidate for this role is reliable, thorough, and works well independently.

Roles and Tasks:

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Maintain project-related records including contracts and change orders
  • Create invoices per contract schedule, proactively gather required information from Operations and Sales to ensure invoices are billed and collections are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Close out project accounts upon project completion
  • Assist with daily, monthly, and annual journal entries to accurately and timely record all business activities
  • Assist clients over the phone with questions, concerns, and additional billing details
  • Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Prepare various daily, weekly monthly, and job-to-date reports
  • Field incoming phone calls and e-mails regarding invoice payments

Skills and Qualifications:

Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by maintaining accounting policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting functions and for overseeing cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll.

Key performance objectives in order of priority with projected time allocation are:

  • Manages day-to-day accounting and finance activities (AR, AP, Invoicing, general ledger) to ensure the accounting system is up to date and accurate. (35%)
  • Supports sales and operations by providing financial analysis on jobs, ensuring information is complete and accurate, and by examining feasibility and profitability of jobs. (20%)
  • Executes month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to support well-informed business decisions. (20%)
  • Assists Controller with financial reporting and analysis to support business strategy and decision making.(5%)

Note: 20% of time is reserved for ancillary responsibilities and activities unrelated to the performance objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities listed are fundamental to the position and must be performed successfully to achieve the key performance objectives of the role. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Interpersonal Responsibilities

  1. Provides leadership and guidance to the Accounting team, agrees upon priorities and establishes clear expectations for performance outcomes and behavior and provides feedback on results.
  2. Serves as a role model to accounting and organization staff, through the demonstration of a high level of personal ethics, good will, proactive guidance, and active listening techniques.
  3. Serves as a trusted financial advisor, sounding board, and confidant to the organization’s Controller.
  4. Encourages and seeks opportunities for collaborative efforts, seeks understanding of issues, anticipates and troubleshoots problems, resolves urgent and ongoing matters.
  5. Establishes and maintains strong relationships through professional and positive interactions with customers, vendors, employees, and management and through the application of meticulous standards and attention to detail. Responds to feedback or questions in a timely, respectful manner.
  6. Establishes and maintains solid commercial banking institution relationships based on mutual trust in order to facilitate appropriate credit resources under highly competitive terms for the benefit of the organization.
  7. Recruits, hires, and trains or coordinates training for staff accountants, monitors performance, takes corrective action as needed, performs scheduled and impromptu performance evaluations, rewards excellence, and otherwise ensures the maintenance of high ethical and professional standards for all accounting personnel.

Operational Responsibilities

  1. Oversees the activities of the staff accountants for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits and annual budgets, accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, debt payment, bank reconciliations, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting, and cost accounting.
  2. Ensures the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, invoicing, purchase orders, petty cash, expense reports, and cash control. Administers application of reasonable discounts for accounts payable as appropriate.
  3. Oversees accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all aging components including billings, and cash receipts application.
  4. Manages monthly, quarterly and year-end closings including Federal and State reports.
  5. Establishes and maintains systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the organization’s value.
  6. Prepares reports and calculates and/or forecasts variances to budget, revenue trending, distributions, sales or other bonuses, and others as requested.
  7. Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  8. Ensures that accounting and financial software systems interface effectively and that systems are properly mapped to allow for streamlined linkages between databases and data integrity.
  9. Prepares and directs audits as required to ensure compliance with local, State and Federal regulations, reviews and distributes findings, ensuring that root causes of findings are understood and that appropriate action plans are put into place to correct unsatisfactory results.
  10. Supports sales organization by providing accurate, timely reports and providing analysis as needed.
  11. Oversees processing of contracts for accuracy and tracking of deadlines, change orders, and deliverables in order to assist with project completion and client satisfaction.

The Designer role at Hidden Creek Landscaping has many opportunities to show their creativity and task management skills. This position is responsible with representing the Hidden Creek Landscaping core values of unique design, right plant for right location, long term vision, and most importantly the ability to listen to the client and be the expert. You will need to interact with the clients, project managers, operations manager, and contract administrator while spending most of your time with the current Sale team.

You must work closely with sales to best understand the client’s desired expectations and how we can provide all items necessary to ensure the utmost satisfaction upon completion. The techniques that you may utilize are as follows, meetings, photos, sketches, plans or any means necessary to convert the initial design into a final conceptual plan, followed by Construction Documents. Remember our clients may hire the sales person but they buy into the vision you have provided.

Roles and Responsibilities in this position are:

Design

  • Weekly meetings with Division Head, Sales staff and Operations affiliated with the Design/ Build division to review current workload and pipeline.
  • Utilize the Start Clean / Finish Clean process with every project in your current workload
  • Work with sales team to give them the best information possible so that the correct plan can be presented.
  • Coordinate with sales and project managers to ensure plans are being built as designed. Work with them to understand best practices or better construction details to assist with the crew’s productivity.

Marketing/ Research/ Coordination

  • Assist with marketing campaign for Hidden Creek in all branding opportunities. This may be through research of current trends, award submittals, clients’ surveys, etc.
  • Research the newest materials being utilized in this industry, new methods to eliminate waste through value engineering, and set Hidden Creek Landscaping above competitors with this information.
  • Assist in the communication and coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and production staff.
  • Assist sales team in creating design division standards for increased productivity and increased design fees.

Specific Job Duties for Design/ Build Sales

  • Track hours per job to study our current production rates (conceptual/ research/ inspiration/ Construction Docs.)
  • Assist Sales team with in-house or onsite meetings to explain design intent with clients.
  • Advise sales team how to gather the best Intel from the client through the DreamBuilder, on site interviews, site measurements, and personal background info on client and property to be relayed to design team.
  • Working knowledge of design board and whom owns each project.
  • Work to collaborate with other designers to teach and educate whenever possible.
  • Enhance marketing, sales or industry knowledge by attending one networking or education event a quarter.

Strategic Importance of this Role to the Company:

The Maintenance Field Technician shares Hidden Creek’s vision of providing exceptional customer service to all of its many clients. This position is responsible for assisting the Foreman and your fellow crew members with all aspects of daily work. You will help to insure the client’s expectations for site quality and services are being met or exceeded.

The Field Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labor) in order to assist with the completion of maintenance services. You will also be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks.

Roles and responsibilities in this position are:

  • Communicate with your Foreman to plan out the day.
  • Assist your Foreman in the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectives.
  • Assist the work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues.
  • Make sure assigned jobs are complete, within budgeted hours, and quality of service exceeds customer expectations.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Conduct before and after inspections of job site.
